Commences with brisk wind from NE steering SW. During the latter part had moderate wind from ?? E. steering SW.

Monday Sept 15th

Commences with moderate wind from N NE steering NW and W & SW and S. Later part the same.

Lat 31 54 N Long 22 50 W

Tuesday Sept 16th

Commences with light airs and calm. At 8 am a breeze sprung up from E heading S SE and N NE - during the latter part a brisk wind from E steering S

Wednesday Sept 17th

Commences with brisk wind from E NE steering S & S by W & S SW. Ends the same. Bove new Fore & Fore Topsail Braces.

Lat 29 59 N Long 22 08 W

Thursday Sept 18th

Commences with brisk wind from E NE steering S SW &  S by W. Ends the same. I have been carpenter to day. I made rack for the Cooler1 to stand upon. Not a thing in sight. Sperm Whales! Sperm Whales! Come along and let us catch you2.
